Description

This position is part-time and the work schedule will average less than 30 hours per work week. This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. It reports to the maintenance department of the facility.

Tasks

The position may involve mowing, trimming, pulling weeds, weed eating, picking up trash, painting and prep work involved, insulating, and general maintenance. Use of both non-powered and powered equipment/tools such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, drills, saws. The position requires the ability to push, pull, carry and lift 40 pounds or more and requires use of hands and arms above shoulder level and walk and stand up to 10 hours a day. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors in a wide variety of climates and environments.

Requirements

Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment; wearing all safety equipment required. All positions will be for A (day) shift. The department runs 7 days a week, with most work scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. Mechanical aptitude, skills and experience preferred but not required.
