International Trade Compliance Leader - Executive

Responsibilities: Sets a clear vision and strategy for the business and team on ITC - influencing from a strategic and technical standpoint beyond the scope of your immediate organization, across the business, and with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Leads other people leaders and/or individual contributors - The leader is both a technical leader within the function and is responsible for developing and coaching his/her employees within the organization. Owns financial budget and accountability with strong metrics. Executes on key priorities including the export licensing program for US DoS and DoC, watchlist screening, education and training on ITC issues, export classification (tagging) and related areas. Represents GE in USG inquiries and industry committees on topics of International Trade Compliance regulations. Communicates ITC requirements to senior executives and reports on the health of the ITC program. Reviews contracts for compliance to ITC law. Supports/leads internal investigations and USG disclosures. Drives the elimination of inefficiencies through process improvement. Provides coaching and mentoring to others. Acts with humility, leads with transparency, and delivers with focus. Guides hiring, establishes retention plans, and creates opportunity for talent development in an area of technical and domain expertise aligned to organizational vision; while, building a more diverse workforce.
