Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives, two of the nation's largest
health systems. The Alliance represents the largest community-based
precision-medicine program in the nation, offering patients faster and more
accurate genomic diagnostic and treatment protocols. Initial focus will be on
advanced profiling in cancer care and expand into other areas, including
cardiovascular, and pharmacogenomics. The Precision Medicine Alliance platform
will ultimately be available at more than 150 hospitals and care centers across
the U.S., serving a potential patient population of approximately 12 million
patients annually million. For additional information, click the links below. ****SummaryThis position will provide physician leadership for the
Precision Medicine Alliance (PMA). Dyad
to the Administrative VP/ CEO of the PMA.
The position will work closely with Clinical Research leaders for CHI
and Dignity Health, and physician leaders representing market based
organizations and service areas throughout the CHI and Dignity Health networks.
Provides clinical expertise and leadership to ensure that PMA programs and
services are grounded in scientific evidence and are responsive to the needs of
practitioners and patients across both. Serves as the voice of physicians
within the PMA leadership team. Responsibilities Provides key PMA programmatic input to utilize PMA resources
in constructing advanced data and testing medical solutions for CHI and DH
markets. Provides physician leadership
to PMA’s physician working groups, committees, and panels. Engages physicians,
other senior leaders and subject matter experts to provide guidance, direction,
and feedback on PMA programs, initiatives, and workflow solutions. Collaborates on the curation of research studies that
connect molecular findings with therapeutic interventions. Works with research
program leaders to improve the actionability of molecular findings towards
trial enrollment. Collaborates with PMA leaders, data sciences leaders, and
physicians to identify opportunities for scientific inquiry that leverages the
precision medicine clinical experience captured in PMA data platforms.In collaboration with the Administrative VP, monitors impact
of PMA programming on utilization of molecular studies, clinical outcomes, and
cost of care. If requested, serves as the Principal Investigator for
National grants and federal contracts on behalf of the PMA.Works closely with the Oncology Program Manager to ensure
that the molecular tumor board program offers an effective vehicle for
clinician discussion, education, and guidance with regard to interpretation and
appropriate actions resulting from molecular findings.Is a key voice of PMA across the healthcare ecosystem with
policy makers, payers, industry, patient advocacy, amongst other groups.
','!*!Qualifications: M.D./D.O. or Ph.D. with Laboratory Director designation
required.Minimum of 10 years related experience in discipline
and seven (7) years of progressive
leadership experience in an Academic or Clinical setting, with clinical trials,
research, and clinical quality or outcomes research.Familiar with the respective roles within the Precision
Medicine Ecosystem: clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, payer, basic and
clinical research, IT, privacy/security/ethics and patient engagement.Experience in matrix based, large healthcare systems,
complex program coordination and administration.Clinical experience with molecular genetics, science and
integration into clinical care, and precision medicine research and clinical
trials.Development and maintenance of effective relationships with
medical, administrative, support staff, patients, and the public. Able to build coalitions of support in the
clinical community.Skill in preparation and presentation of reports to the PMA
Board and constituent groups.Planning, both strategic and short-term, and project
management abilities are required.Working knowledge of healthcare administration, including
managed care administration, regulatory management, government regulations, and
computer systems and applications.Certifications/Licensures Required
