What We’re Looking For:
The Data Analyst II will conduct analytical research, development, and operational reporting for all departments within the 2U Bootcamp Program business line, along with the company-wide reporting portfolio. This is a data driven role requiring a quantitative orientation and design sense, with strong critical thinking and visualization skills.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Design and develop statistical analysis, reporting and visualization to drive and track the performance of key business decisions. Seek out additional data sources to provide business value for internal and external use. (50%)
Partner with engineers and business managers to: 1) understand business requirements for data and visualization, 2) promote visualization best practices across 2U and 3) respond to and triage issues related to reports and dashboards. (20%)
Work with Data Scientists to support an array of business problems from marketing revenue to survey analytics. (20%)
Assist in the management of Enterprise BI tools and data literacy across the organization. (10%)
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree is required, with a concentration in a mathematical or analytical field preferred (i.e.: Economics, Math, Computer Science, Political Science).
2-4 years of relevant analytical and visualization experience in a professional setting.
Advanced understanding of data visualization using Tableau.
Intermediate SQL and database skills (window functions, advanced joins, and sub queries) are required.
Project management skills to be able to identify the sequence of tasks and the resources needed to achieve a goal, and prioritize key action steps for moderately complex projects.
Analytical thinker with great attention to detail; must be able to “tell a story” with data to provide insights to non-technical audiences.
Must be able to confidently create written communication and documentation.
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
Basic understanding of R or Python, including manipulation packages is a plus.
