Aon Is Looking for a Digital Economy Broker As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our U.S. Commercial Risk business within Aon. As a Digital Economy Associate Broker, you will report directly to the Digital Economy Chief Broking Officer. You will work alongside the Chief Broking Officer, the Digital Economy Practice Leader, and other team members to develop and execute a strategy for growth and client development to position Aon as a leading advisor in this specialty area.   What the day will look like:Support Senior Brokers and at times act as the primary negotiator in developing and obtaining the most appropriate coverage from a variety of insurance carriers on behalf of our clients. This role will be part of the client facing team, along with Producers and/or Account Executives.  The Digital Economy Practice adopts a broker led team approach and this role will participate in client discussions to understand needs and develop strategies as follows:Identify and analyze client exposures and determines which insurers to utilize, ensuring thorough evaluation of qualified carriers in the marketplace Provide alternative options and/or design risk transfer/financing products for presentation to the client Work with either the underwriter or underwriting management to obtain the most appropriate carrier coverage. May begin developing client-specific wording for endorsements or forms to address client issues Serve as a source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policiesDevelop insurance market relationships with carriers and specific underwriters who have an appetite for Digital Economy business in conjunction with other Digital Economy LeadersWork with other Digital Economy Leaders to create facilities and/or services unique to Aon, to strengthen the Digital Economy value proposition and facilitate placement of complex and emerging risk issues for clientsWork on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise Required Experience:Minimum of 2 years of carrier and/or brokerage experience, with a solid foundational understanding of property and casualty lines (Property, Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess, and Workers Compensation) Property/Casualty Insurance LicenseAccident & Health Insurance License a plusMature and professional demeanorStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenCritical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levelStrong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)Must have Intermediate or Advance Microsoft Excel skills  Education:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associates degree preferred.Broker’s license preferred, or to be obtained within 90 days of start date.Experience Typically at least 3-5 years of successful insurance experience, preferably with corporate accounts/customers.Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is required.
