Contract Manager
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the business and legal operations of the organization are handled within Company guidelines and procedures. Provides legal advice and guidance to staff and executives in contract negotiations and compliance, product development, and operations. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Provides continuous counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of matters. Performs legal research and provides opinions or memoranda regarding contract liability and on general corporate issues. Acts as the initial point of contact for internal teams concerning legal aspects and interpretation of contracts. Communicates new and/or modified contract terms, for new and existing products, to all affected internal teams (i.e. operations, sales, finance, audit, customer support, and/or data management) for their incorporation into and/or adaptation of their departmental processes. Negotiates and drafts new agreements and/or amendments to existing contracts, interacting with in-house and outside counsel, as appropriate. Manages projects as assigned. Works to establish processes that will create efficiencies. Creates, updates and preserves important corporate records. Drafts legal documents of some complexity. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
