Governmental Affairs Advisor
The candidate will serve as a key team member representing the company on legislative and regulatory matters at the state and federal levels in the company’s geographical areas of interest. Build relationships and influence key stakeholders to help maintain and protect the company’s reputation through strategic communications and partnerships. Monitor and review proposed legislation and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company in coordination with internal clients. Develop appropriate positions and responses in conjunction with internal clients. Work with trade associations, working groups and contractors on issue-specific efforts to ensure that legislation, rules and regulations serve the best interests of the company. Advocate for company positions and when appropriate work with coalitions of like-minded companies in the industry to support or oppose legislation and proposed new rules and regulations. Support the administration and management of the company’s political action committee. Must possess degree in law, political science, business or engineering related to Oil and Gas industry. Advanced degrees is preferred. Should preferably have 5+ years of experience in government affairs.
