Tax Advisor - National Tax - Indirect Tax - Value Added Tax - Senior - Multiple Positions

The candidate should have demonstrated an understanding of common principles of value added tax (VAT) and apply them effectively to client situations. Bridge the gap between what is expected of a company's U.S. tax department and its knowledge of VAT in foreign jurisdictions. Assist with multiple projects and the execution of technical matters and operations, teaming with colleagues that have experience in foreign country VAT taxation, structures, and solutions. Research VAT legislation, case law, and other VAT guidance to support Partners on client engagements. Assist with educational sessions on developments in international VAT legislation and case law. Provide practical solution-oriented advice, creating added value for clients. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental, and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law, or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law, or a related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience providing VAT/indirect tax advice within the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, financial services, petrochemicals, and/or media and entertainment industries. Must have 1 year of experience in VAT taxation, including country-specific or multi-jurisdictional VAT, consulting, and VAT compliance. Must have 1 year of experience interacting with client tax directors or representatives.
