In the role of RE Facilities Manager (FM), you will be at the helm of creating these experiences.

Your direct reports are responsible for either Services or Building Maintenance. In your team, also staff from HSSE, Asset Protection, IT Operations are included. FM integrates the delivery at the location through a highly collaborative environment and acts as the primary local focal point to senior leaders of the respective businesses. Clearly, this role will demand close cooperation with the other Shell functions who support people's productivity & wellbeing, whilst also ensuring learnings taken from the external market. You are accountable for managing > $ 20 million/K of annual spend, dispersed via several suppliers (hard services, soft services). These experiences will be performed via hundreds of contractors.

Real Estate (RE) delivers a competitive advantage to Shell through the application of leading-edge corporate real estate, corporate travel and business operations practices. RE’s strategic intent is to enable the Shell Businesses to deliver on their goals by creating safe, secure, cost effective, and productive environments that allow people to perform at their best. Real Estate delivers non-hydrocarbon physical infrastructure to Shell Businesses, projects and ventures; manages the Group’s property portfolio and office facilities.

Accountabilities

Be the single point of accountability and lead the consummate delivery of the real estate facilities management activities, leveraging and integrating the various disciplines through a highly collaborative environment for One Shell Square, Robert Training Center and the Gulf of Mexico offshore platforms.

Partner with the Gulf Coast businesses to create additional value on: Goal Zero, no harm no leaks; cost and capital efficiency; functional discipline and professionalism; right people and competent suppliers; continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for ensuring that local delivery is planned and executed in line with: the strategic alignment of the business as defined by the strategy and portfolio plans for the businesses; and in line with the Group and functional requirements and processes. Leading and executing breakthrough performance that add “step change” to RE Delivery.

Ensures that the Organization, including staff assigned to sites have clear roles, responsibilities and targets that deliver clear business outcomes and ensure that the interdependencies and collaboration requirements are clear.

Ensures that data provided to RE systems is credible, reliable, readily available, and used to generate insights to drive better decisions in RDS and RE.

Ensures that the RE’s activities are performed safely in line with the Group Management System and in compliance with the applicable processes. Compliance and Assurance plans across the whole portfolio and end to end RE process will be risk based and planned with the RE Head of Assurance.

This role is a key leadership position within the Regional Facilities (Operations) Leadership Team, enabling the RE function to focus on core functional delivery.

Some domestic travel (10%) may be required.

Requirements:

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor's Degree related to Real Estate required.

Minimum of six (6) years’ work experience in complex corporate environments in business and real estate related role.

Strong HSSE leadership and can demonstrate a track record of Goal Zero – no harm no leaks.

Proven track record in delivery of large scale RE operations, leading multi discipline teams in challenging environments.

Comfortable working with, and leading through uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity and incomplete information.

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to lead and foster this leadership quality throughout teams.

Proven track record in business partnering, strong stakeholder relationships and management with ability to influence at senior level.

Demonstrates external focus, simplicity and speed of delivery.

Experience of performance management (especially HSE & cost) including leading management teams and contract management.

Project Management and programme management experience.
