We are currently searching for a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to support our operations team in our Houston, TX manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Partner with process owners and business teams to create a culture which supports process management, data driven decision making, and continuous improvement, aligned with established strategy, vision, goals and objectives.

Partner with process owners and business team leaders to identify and select projects and implement Lean Six Sigma within their functions.

Lead, coach, train and mentor teams in the use of Six Sigma tools and processes, serving as a change agent assisting them in solving high level and/or complex problems resulting in breakthrough levels of performance improvement.

Train, coach, and challenge process owners in the use of statistical tools, approaches and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop a Six Sigma mindset at all levels.

Leverage quality best practices across the company to ensure process improvements are institutionalized throughout the business.

Lead efforts to simplify and consolidate GT processes globally by managing the execution of critical projects to create tangible business improvements in financial and customer results.

Train and mentor Green Belts throughout the organization providing guidance and direction as needed to ensure they are successful with their projects.

Maintain project performance measures on a regular basis to report to leadership on project required.

Required Skills

3 years’ experience leading Lean Six Sigma process improvement as a Certified Lead Six Sigma professional in a manufacturing environment; Working knowledge of plant level metrics a must

Experienced and successful change agent with a track record of leading lasting change desired

Thorough understanding of business fundamentals and drivers, coupled with strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills required

Demonstrated project manage experience with the proven ability to establish and monitor metrics necessary

Ability to think strategically with a willingness to challenge the status quo through cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives required

Demonstrated success coaching influencing and mentoring individuals at all levels throughout the organization necessary

Intermediate understanding of SAP/ERP systems, coupled with working knowledge of Minitab or equivalent software preferred


BS/BA degree (or equivalent) required

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt designation required; Ability to obtain appropriate Lean designation within one year, as requested
