Ready to begin your career as a registered nurse in pediatrics? Children’s paid Nurse Residency Program assists new BSN graduate nurses in their transition from student to professional pediatric nurse with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to begin a successful career in pediatric nursing. This opportunity is available in patient care areas across the organization.

There are three Nurse Residency tracks to choose from:

Ambulatory Track

Hospital Track

Program interests will be evaluated through a survey you will receive via email after you submit your application along with an on-demand video interview. We offer $10,000 Student Loan Repayment for full-time RNs. If you have the qualifications we’re searching for, apply today!

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent skills in communication, listening, customer service, organization

Excellent clinical skills providing direct and indirect nursing care

Ability to type, navigate an electronic system, and adapt to changes in workflows as they occur

Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure, and be able to perform under stressful conditions when confronted with multiple requests, demonstrating prioritizing skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BSN completion prior to program start date

Current Employees enrolled in an ASN/ADN program are eligible. Must commit to completing BSN within 3 years.

Minimum GPA 3.0 required/ waived for current employees.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

Successful NCLEX completion and possess an active nursing license in Nebraska or a compact state prior to program start date

Current and valid BLS certfication through an American Heart Association approved course required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must commit to work full time during first year of Nurse Residency Program

No time off granted during first seven weeks except for unplanned illness

The Nurse Residency Program is completed after two years of employment
