Machinist produce machined parts by setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies. This is a key position and will be required to support both General operators, other machinist and lead personnel.
Responsibilities include machining product, receiving, molding, loading and unloading of ovens, grinding and prepping of materials, material handling activities primary and secondary machining, and packaging and shipping of product for PTFE.
Read Blueprints and measuring equipment such as scales, micrometers, PI tapes, optical comparators, and calipers. Machining PTFE and varied plastic to tight tolerances. Must also maintain operations of extruders.
Operators will be working in a team environment which includes operation of several machines and/or sharing the operation of multiple machines with coworkers within that cell.
The Cell Operator must work as a team member to insure the success of the team and to assist the team in successfully meeting customer demands.
Work with Key Measurable, respond to and correct negative trends, and schedule orders within the cell.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, requesting support to address unsafe issues within the cell.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Capacity (Computer)
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and/or rarely lift 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position 40 hours per week. Standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, with ability to work overtime.
1st Shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
3rd Shift 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Traveling is not expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing based-related experience
Training in general safety and quality system awareness
US Citizenship/Lawful Permanent Resident (ITAR Requirements)
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience as machinist or in a manufacturing/factory environment.
