Traffic Assistant State's Attorney
The candidate will prosecutes all traffic cases as assigned by the Chief of the Criminal Division, Assistant State’s Attorney. Reviews police and lab reports to ascertain any need for follow-up investigation. Interviews civilian and police witnesses and advises each as to court appearances. Examines physical evidence that may. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree and have an unrestricted license to practice law in the State of Illinois. Prior experience in the prosecution of criminal law is preferred, but not mandatory. Must possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with the public. Must have the ability to perform tasks of complex and varied nature requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, and must exercise independent judgment.
