Claims Counsel

The candidate is responsible for managing all aspects of title insurance and escrow claims from initial investigation, and coverage determination through final resolution. Performs a range of assignments and may lead projects within own discipline. Applies working knowledge of business and best practices gained through an understanding of key business drivers and recognition of how own area integrates within the organization. Works within broad guidelines and policies to accomplish objectives and goals. Solves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents. Explains complex and/or sensitive information in a straightforward manner. Individual contributor working with limited oversight. Performs all other duties as assigned by management. Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school is required. Must be licensed to practice in at least one US Jurisdiction. Should have 5+ years of practicing as an attorney in an in-house or law firm setting. Experience in real property, insurance or real estate law is needed.
