Hawley Troxell prides itself on hiring the hardest working, brightest, and most innovative associates. By providing a wide-range of business and litigation practice areas, associates are able to become an expert in the area of law that best suits their interests and abilities. New associates are paired with a partner and senior associate who will mentor the associate in managing a caseload, working with clients, networking, and understanding the culture and rich heritage that Hawley Troxell offers.

The Partnership track at Hawley Troxell is typically seven years, with credit given, on a case-by-case basis, to attorneys with prior legal experience or a judicial clerkship. Firm associates are expected to bill 1800 hours per year and to contribute a minimum of 200 hours to non-billable activities, including charitable organizations, community initiatives, and pro bono work.
