The candidate will assist with all aspects of prosecution, with a focus on misdemeanor prosecution. will be mentored by the Deputy District Attorneys and is expected to appear in court, learn the prosecution philosophy of the office, and have hands-on experience with motions, trials and investigations. Must have knowledge of the following: criminal law and procedure, having successfully passed evidence and criminal law classes at law school. Oregon State Bar ethical rule. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Accept directions and follow policies and procedures.
