Principal, Transformation','MAC19174','!*!Job Overview: The Principal, Transformation within the Transformation Office will ensure the company’s Polaris transformation initiative are both on track and drive bottom line impact. Key responsibilities include partnering with the VP, Transformation and Workstream Sponsors, and Senior Leaders (SVPs and Chiefs) to provide complex analysis, communicate trends, review and approve proposed initiatives, business cases, and milestone plans, track versus goals, make recommendations based on data and trends, and act as the primary liaison between Transformation Office and the Corporate Finance team. Perform other duties as necessary. Essential Functions:  Validates Initiatives (specificity, rigor, business cases, and milestone plans), coordinates across constraining resources, leads impact analysis and makes recommendations for changes to initiatives based on trends Works with Initiative Owners, Workstream Leads, and Senior Leaders (SVPs and Chiefs) to ensure consistent approach to business cases, KPI tracking, and impact analysis Ensures consistent assumptions are applied across all Workstreams Partners with VP, Transformation, Initiative Owners, Workstream Sponsors (SVPs and Chiefs), Workstream Leads and other stakeholders to resolve resource allocation, project management, financial and risk issues Serves as the primary partner to Finance to assess aggregate transformation impact and alignment with business performance Forecasts Initiative results and makes recommendations to keep Initiatives on or ahead of track Applies keen foresight to highlight developing trends which may hinder or accelerate impact; performs complex and detailed trend and scenario analyses to forecast future monthly impacts and compares against monthly goals Partners closely with Corporate Finance and the Finance Business Partners to segregate the financial impact of the Transformation from baseline performance, and to use Transformation results to inform development of forward-looking business targets in line with our long-term strategy and performance scenarios Supports Chief Financial Officer and Finance Team in integration of Transformation commitments with Budgets Supports Chief Transformation and HR Officer and Chief Financial Officer in development of materials for Board of Directors Role models core transformation mindsets and disciplines to orient the organization toward full impact potential Provides executive team adequate information and guidance to support its decision making Deputizes for VP, Transformation as requiredQualifications:Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred; 8 years of experience in roles requiring multi-faceted analytical approaches and retail operating models, supporting organization structures, and processes Communication Skills: Excellent communication and facilitation skills (oral, written and listening); Ability to understand, organize and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences; Ability to develop, document, communicate and operationalize new processes Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical capabilities and ability to synthesize complex information and derive data-driven insights through logic and frameworks; Ability to understand company strategies, remove obstacles to implementation, manage cross-functional complexities and stakeholders, engage individuals throughout the organization, and drive a progressive set of behaviors Physical Demands:This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching;May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time; Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds  Other Skills: Expertise in Excel and strong aptitude developing presentations in PowerPoint; Strong retail and business acumen to understand and evaluate new and existing business strategies and implementation risks, across the full scope of an omnichannel retailer; Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and complex problem-solving environment Work Hours:Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs; regular, dependable attendance & punctuality This job overview is not all inclusive.  In addition, Macy’s, Inc. reserves the right to amend this job overview at any time.  Macy’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.  Macy’s, Inc. – including Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s – will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal convictions in a manner consistent with SFPC Art. 49 and LA MC ch.XVIII Art. 9.','','United States-New York-New York','Strategy, Analytics, and Innovation','Principal, Transformation
