2023 Spring Law Student Academic Internship
The student will work in the Felony/Misdemeanor Trial Bureau. Most interns will be assigned to either the Misdemeanor and Felony Division. Another large group of interns will also be assigned to the Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Sex Crimes, and Crimes Against Children Division. Will work directly with experienced trial attorneys and assist the attorneys with a wide range of duties, including (1) victim and witness interviews; (2) assistance with formal plea procedures; (3) trial preparation; (4) research and writing; and (5) assistance with jury selection and jury trials. Routinely accompany prosecutors to court to observe and help with court dockets, hearings, and trials. May also be required to complete additional assignments, specific projects, or observations as prescribed by their school or professors. This application is solely for 1L-2L law students who are currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
