Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Data Engineer that will work on building data pipelines for some of the most exciting data science projects at Humana.

Responsibilities

Our Data Science Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Data Engineer that will work on building data pipelines for some of the most exciting data science projects at Humana. Our team works alongside the Data Science group and aids in sourcing, transforming, and understanding the data that drives training and deployment of machine learning models, as well as enterprise wide analytics and visualization initiatives. The platforms you'll deliver solutions on are built in on the best in class Azure Data Services, such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Responsibilities

Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities.

Building Azure Data Factory Pipelines.

Developing PySpark applications to be deployed in Azure Databricks.

Working alongside data scientists to build performant and reliable data structures and pipelines to enable machine learning model training and scoring.

Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

5 or more years in a software or data engineering role

Strong background in developing data-centric python software applications, preferably utilizing PySpark

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
