Description

The Channel Development Lead will translate the departmental strategic direction of the Humana Pharmacy organization into actionable tactical strategies which will effectively drive Mail Order Pharmacy growth (MOP). By using these tactical strategies along with data/analytics & collaboration of aligned partners, this role will be responsible for defining and maximizing existing referral-partner opportunities (Home, Clinical, Medicare and Medicare Markets, Call Centers, etc.) and help to uncover new business partners to advance the MOP growth strategy. This position will have direct reports that will align to specific Humana Business Partners to help optimize current process for a better associate & member engagement and ultimately continue to grow MOP (both traditional and specialty script growth).

Responsibilities

The Channel Development Lead will work cross functionally to reach across multiple business channels including but not limited to: Humana Pharmacy Solutions, Medicare and MAPD Markets, Providers, Humana Clinical Operations, Home Operations, Joint Venture relationships, new and emerging Clinical Outreach Teams, Customer Service Organizations, Humana Business Development, and more.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead a team of channel development professionals

Deliver annual incremental growth of member referrals to MOP

Translate departmental and corporate strategies into actionable tactical strategies and roadmaps to drive Rx referrals, incremental prescription growth and long-term member pharmacy mail order utilization

Develop and optimize existing Humana business processes to accelerate member referrals to MOP

Identify new, unique opportunities for incremental growth

Identify & develop new business partnerships

Build DRI relationships with key business leaders & stakeholders

Establish process recommendations and actions needed to leverage new channels in a manner to support their business outcomes, while leveraging the newly aligned partner to source member referrals.

Access specific data, reporting and trending criteria needs to improve effectiveness of partner MOP performance.

Identify trends to uncover and optimize previously unforeseen incremental growth opportunities

Initiate and drive adoption of campaigns, processes and pilots which our aligned business partners will support that will enhance business outcomes and grow referrals to MOP

Assure success measures are clearly established and trackable, trend and react to data which speak to outcomes.

Identify and guide the development of support materials needed to enhance member referrals to include but not limited to: Informational pamphlets, educations and training materials, reference documents, contact communications, incentives, etc.

Assure the Pharmacy Integration Team and it's strategies remain agile and evolve with the changing needs and processes of the aligned business/channel partners

Develop process or scripting recommendations to submit and/or present for legal review & guidance

Collaborate with upper-level leaders across the enterprise to align on goals, cost evaluations & ensure the member/associate experience is top-of-mind.

Present to leaders and executive both internal to Pharmacy and external to pharmacy on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field

Experience in healthcare, PBM industry or related business

5 years of experience leading and developing a team

Ability to think critically to evaluate improvement opportunities & remove barriers to referring

Strong ability to collaborate across multiple departments

Strong presentation skills

Ability to interpret and analyze data and reports to assess health of the operation

Demonstrate Business Acumen

Preferred Qualification:

Pharmacy Operational Experience

Business Development/Start-Up

Must comply with WAH requirements (dedicated Home office, high-speed internet, etc.)
