Assistant Professor

The candidate will report to the Law School's dean and associate dean. Should preferably have an appropriate background in teaching law school courses, in research, and in supervising or participating in law school clinical programs. The primary responsibilities for this faculty position include teaching and/or clinic supervision as assigned; providing structured and continuous academic support for students; carrying out administrative duties as assigned, such as participation on the Admissions Committee; participating in Law School "open houses" and interviews of applicants and other prospective students; developing and implementing high-quality student-learning assessment and faculty-evaluation methods; participating in the preparation of accreditation-compliance reports, such as those required by the State Bar of California and WSCUC; and actively participating in the Law School Faculty Council and the Academic Standards Committee. Must have a JD degree and be licensed as an attorney by the State Bar of California.
