Aon is looking for an HR Specialist As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our HR team based in our downtown Chicago office.    Your impact as an HR Specialist Job Responsibilities:Provides meaningful materials to HR Advisors to support his/her teams in various areas, including performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, engagement, org structure analysis, and any other ad-hoc projects as requested.Manages online tools to support HR initiatives, such as inputting and pulling reports for talent review, publishing relevant content on internal sites, and managing rosters.Supports specialty projects and business initiatives in the following areas: Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, and HR OperationsResponds to HR issues and opportunities in designated business unit or region and administers HR policies and programs as appropriate.Processes required transactions and HR- initiated data changes.Assists in the communication, preparation and execution of: the performance management process, training materials, and other ongoing talent initiatives.Reviews employment practices to ensure compliance with internal policies/procedures and external laws/regulations.You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor’s degree required.Successful business internship experience, preferably within Human Resources (including employee relations, employment, compensation, and benefits).Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels on the organizationMust be able to manipulate large amounts of data, formulate data into easy to read formats and be comfortable telling a story and provide insights with that dataMust have demonstrated strategic and innovative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work with limited direction, extremely proactive, highly driven and self- directedA working knowledge of effective general business management practices is desirable.Must be a team player.Adaptability – quick learnerDesire to learn and display Aon’s values including acting with integrity and displaying a client, colleague and community commitment.We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. Our Colleague Experience: From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
