A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Montgomery, AL. The successful candidate will guide clients through financial restructuring and insolvency processes, ensuring efficient and ethical navigation of bankruptcy proceedings. Duties

• Represent clients in consumer bankruptcy filings, negotiations, and court proceedings, focusing on Chapter 7 and 13 cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, contracts, and pleadings.
• Advise clients on debt restructuring options, asset protection strategies, and related legal matters.
• Manage case files using legal case management systems and maintain meticulous records.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas to provide comprehensive legal counsel.
• Communicate with clients, creditor attorneys, opposing counsel, trustees, and the courts.

Requirements

• Licensed or ability to be licensed in the Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.
• Travel to Selma, Troy, and Greenville is necessary; an office vehicle is provided.
• No experience in bankruptcy required, but strong personal skills and ADR skills are desirable.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Alabama.

• Strong interpersonal skills, combining legal knowledge with compassion.
• Strong negotiation skills and excellent legal advocacy abilities.
• Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently in high-pressure environments.
