The intern will work in the Transportation Department. Interns have opportunities to assist with the department's cases and appeals of administrative decisions in driving-under-the-influence and condemnation cases; to research and write memos; and to attend hearings before the Claims Commissioner and various state courts. Occasionally, interns are permitted to present a case to the Claims Commissioner. An internship in this department provides a unique opportunity to be involved in all phases of litigation from preparation through trial. Paralegal students are considered.
