Real Estate Closing Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for: Inputting new contract data into the firm’s processing software; Following up with buyers for earnest money deposits; Introducing the firm to all the participants in the transactions and communicating services and expectations; Gathering documentation necessary to prepare a transaction to close, including payoff demand letters from lenders, tax collectors and other lien holders; Reviewing payoff demand data for accuracy and inputting figures to the firms processing software; Producing closing documents for attorney review; Documenting and noting all files with detailed and accurate information; Working closely with our senior real estate paralegals; Participating in team and company meetings; Performing other related duties as assigned, and Contributing to the positive company culture. Must have University Degree or equivalent knowledge/experience. Must be comfortable interacting with clients tactfully in high-pressure customer service situations. Strong attention to detail is required as all positions involve responsibility for ensuring accuracy on critical real estate and mortgage lending documents. Should have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Should have proficiency in typing, knowledge of basic computer functions. Must have accuracy with data entry and processing of critical real estate and mortgage lending documents is of the utmost importance. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
