Position-Business Solution Lead

Position Summary:

As a member of our dynamic Information Technology team, you will significantly enhancing its Business Intelligence capabilities to deliver advanced analytics to business communities. You will be enabled by leading edge technology, such as SAP BW 7.3, BPC 10.0, BusinessObjects BI 4.0, Data Services 4.0 and HANA. You will be responsible for Business Intelligence, Business Planning and Data Warehouse solutions in all business areas including Finance, HR, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. You will be responsible for BI consulting services, project implementation, requirements definition, integration, and application support to all client groups. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the design, and integration of BI and Planning processes to create value through productivity gains, improved business performance (cycle time, cost of operations, etc.) and improved decision support. This requires collaboration among the Business Intelligence Solutions, the Customer Solutions and Business organizations to achieve sustained improvement.

Performance Objectives:

Responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with client groups within the objectives set by their management.

Provide BI (Reporting and Planning) consulting services to the client group to identify opportunities, gather requirements, recommend best practices and solutions, develop business cases, and design and implement appropriate solutions. Develop rapid prototyping to facilitate requirements and design discussions.

Lead BI process design activities with client groups in a specific business process area and cross-functional teams to enable achievement of client operating objectives, improved operational excellence and lower cost of operations. Design BI solutions aligned with BI Strategy, Roadmap and Architecture standard. Ensure integration with other projects, systems and processes.

Lead BI project implementation and on-going operations activities in compliance with Stage Gate, operations and internal controls, to ensure reliable systems operations and integrity.

Consult with the clients on appropriate training and change management activities to achieve organizational readiness for the BI process and technology changes. Develop training materials and conduct training classes.

Provide BI SME in integrated test scenario planning and execution.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering.

10 years of relevant BI technical and process management experience in increasingly responsible positions. Hands-on design and development experience with SAP BW, BusinessObjects, and/or BPC.

Line or consulting experience in BI processes is required. Experience in some combination of business process re-engineering, project management, change management and/or IT systems implementation is also required. Experience with major consulting firms is a plus.

SAP BusinessObjects, BPC and/or BW certification preferred

Demonstrate the ability to effectively consult with client groups to identify BI process improvement opportunities, automation alternatives and organizational readiness activities to achieve sustained benefits.

Demonstrate strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills in cross functional collaboration with IT and Business. Must be capable of establishing influential and collaborative relationships with internal clients.

Demonstrate the ability to define business requirements and system specifications, accurate time estimates and creation of clear and concise documentation for various phases of the project implementation life cycle.

Stay current with fast changing BI/DW technology and best practice. Leverage best practices and knowledge of chemical and refining industry challenges.

Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance.

Strong foundation and a clear understanding and appreciation of BI/DW design and development techniques, as well as associated technical skills and related tools.

Define KPI and metrics definitions. Design and develop dashboards.

SAP BW/BI design and development in FI/CO. Security role design.

Finance and Controlling functional processes in SAP ECC.

Project Management skills.

SAP BusinessObjects (Xcelsius, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Advanced Analysis and Data Services).

Planning and forecasting processes in SAP BPC (or BPS, Integrated Planning).

SAP BW/BI design and development in Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or HR.
