Description
The Pharmacy Infusion Lead advises and collaborates with cross functional leaders with goals of combining clinical Rx acumen with holistic desired health outcomes. The Pharmacy Infusion Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Pharmacy Infusion Lead uses financial and other data driven methods to construct value propositions leading to impactful, longer term decisions. Translates information from multiple sources to clearly communicate a compelling clinical, data-driven message to executive-level audiences. Works across multiple departments to execute strategies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Responsibilities
New Infusion Strategy Development, Integration and Product Build/Launch
Drive the ideation, development, change management and launch of new infusion strategy products
Proactively monitors place of treatment analytics to identify opportunities to optimize the member infusion experience (e.g. financial, clinical and satisfaction)
Continuously monitors relevant publicly available news/developments in the pharmaceutical sector, performing any ad hoc analyses and generating insights, related to home infusion and alternative infusion centers
Utilizes broad understanding of managed care, medical/home infusion billing and network dynamics to accelerate growth of the strategy
Develop, lead and execute collaborations with cross functional enterprise-wide partners (e.g. Home Solutions assets) to incorporate infusion into the Humana vision for care in the home
External Home Infusion Vendor Preferred Partners
Develop, monitor and optimize performance guarantees for infusion vendor partners as part of our overarching quality culture in collaboration with pharmacy networks
Identify and assess new capabilities of home infusion vendors while serving as the primary clinical point of contact between the vendors and the health plan
Overarching objectives
Produce top quality presentations and reports to be shared with senior leadership such as strategy updates, and market event notifications
Convene and collaborate with pharmacists, business professionals and actuaries in a team environment, specifically collaborating closing with our pharmacy analytics team, Site of Care clinical pharmacy lead, the Clinical Pharmacy Leads for Medical Trend, Pharmacy Networks, clinical formulary subject matter experts and Home Solutions leaders.
Present confidently to senior leadership on key metrics including home infusion market shares and high-value opportunities
Lead multidisciplinary meetings, embracing the keys of Essential Facilitation, to drive to alignment and results
Champion for enterprise wide infusion strategy alignment, working through others to execute on shared goals.

Qualifications
Three years experience in managed care or pharmacy related field
Experience in managing the strategic planning cycle for a large organization with cross-functional engagement and prioritization
Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives
Problem-solving and project management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, previous experience presenting and interacting with senior leadership
Flexible, dynamic personality with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence others without authority while contributing individually
Previous experience in medical and pharmacy analytics
Working knowledge of MS excel, MS PowerPoint required
Role Desirables
Clinical degree (e.g. Pharm. D.)
MBA, pharmacoeconomics or health outcomes training
Six Sigma, Lean (or other quality program) background
Exposure to home infusion and/or alternative sites of infusion
