Product and Commercial Counsel
The candidate will partner with engineering, product management, communications, and legal team to identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of our product development, and embed with those teams to monitor updates and advise on legal implications as the product evolves. Will draft, review and negotiate a variety of advertising-related agreements, such as MSAs, data terms, and other agreements with advertisers, agencies, and partners. Provide strategic advice and support for our Sales, Revenue, Finance, and Customer Ops teams. Provide cross-functional leaders with pragmatic and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives. Should have JD with at least 5 years of experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including at least 1 year in-house, admission to California Bar preferred. Knowledge of IP law preferred. Knowledge of privacy and data security law preferred. Must have track record of business and solution oriented counseling in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
