WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineer for our Newark, NJ office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform engineering tasks related to site civil, roadway and pedestrian safety improvement, and mass transit improvements projects for public agencies
Prepare reports and coordinate support activities, including plan production and drafting report text or comment responses
Attend client meetings, assist in preparation for presentations to clients, and support business development efforts
Assist in project management activities, including input on budgets, scheduling, and coordination of tasks
Supervise, assign, and coordinate specific assignments with entry-level staff

B.S. or higher degree in Civil Engineering required
At least 2-4 years experience
Must have EIT
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Familiarity in the following software: MicroStation and/or InRoads, AutoCAD and/or Civil3D
Design experience in the northern New Jersey area
Familiarity with NJDOT and NJ TRANSIT design standards
