Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is looking for a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. The firm is known for its diverse practice and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services across a range of cases. As an Associate, the successful candidate will handle a variety of legal matters from start to finish, working closely with seasoned attorneys while contributing to the firm’s growth and success. The position offers the chance to work on a broad range of cases, including personal injury, contract disputes, and business litigation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters, including contract disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial disputes.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Manage discovery and prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Participate in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings.
• Attend court appearances and provide legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex cases.
• Maintain an organized caseload, ensuring timely progress and communication with clients.

Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of experience in litigation, including defense in premises liability, personal injury, and commercial disputes.
• Proven experience in managing a litigation caseload independently.
• Skilled in drafting legal documents such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Experience with legal research and case strategy development.
• Comfortable appearing in court and taking depositions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar, in good standing.
• Trial experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
