Investigator, Sexual Misconduct
Duties: Serves as an investigator for student cases alleging sexual misconduct, domestic violence, stalking, and harassment, as well as some personal misconduct and organizational misconduct cases. Co conduct reviews and investigations of incidents reported to the Office of Student Conduct. Responsible for managing case files, data base information, and documentation associated with the University’s Title IX compliance with a particular emphasis on investigation of alleged cases of sexual misconduct (including assault and sexual harassment, domestic violence, and stalking involving undergraduate and graduate students at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.). Serves as a hearing officer for cases unrelated to sexual misconduct. Responsible for preparing files and reports as needed to be used in the campus student conduct process; keeps up-to-date meeting notes, spreadsheets, and data base entries related to conduct cases. Assists the Associate Director with outreach and education on student life topics related to sexual misconduct including Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), sexual misconduct, harassment, domestic violence, and stalking in coordination with campus partners; assists with related projects as assigned. Promotion of student learning and development through case management and related educational efforts while utilizing specialized knowledge of higher education administration, student development, conflict resolution, restorative justice, Title IX, VAWA, current legal mandates, and related content areas.. Acts as a neutral party in the investigation, and develops reports and timelines, and compiles the file for resolution. Stays current on movements in the field of student conduct investigations by relationship building with colleagues on campus, reviewing current literature and research, and participating in listservs, conferences and training, and in local, regional or national professional associations and organizations.
