A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Mid-Level Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney to join its San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on copyright litigation, and a deep understanding of how technology intersects with copyright law. Duties:

• Manage and litigate complex copyright cases, particularly those involving technology and digital platforms.
• Draft and file motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, court appearances, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct extensive legal research and provide strategic insights on copyright law and technology issues.
• Advise clients on legal matters related to copyright and technology.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and teams to develop litigation strategies and case management.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on case progress.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically copyright litigation.
• Strong knowledge of the intersection of technology and copyright law.
• A technical background (e.g., computer science, engineering) is preferred but not required.
• Excellent academic credentials and proven ability to handle complex legal issues.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication and client relationship management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
• Admission to the state bar in California (other jurisdictions considered).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar (or eligibility to practice in California).
• Additional bar certifications in other jurisdictions are a plus.
