# Overview The Global HR Operations center of excellence provides operational and support services for Microsoft HR programs, with primary areas of focus being customer support services, core HR operations (HR Benefits, data administration, onboarding, leave administration, staffing, learning & development, etc.), business process optimization, HR online solutions, and project management. The success of the HR Operations organization is critical to the overall effectiveness of HR and our ability to ensure consistent employee and manager experiences companywide. The Benefits and Payroll specialist is an integral member of the HR Operations organization and plays a key role in the delivery of high quality HR Services to business leaders, managers and employees, as well as to the HR Community. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality execution of Benefits & Payroll in the region. This role requires through understanding and appreciation of benefits policies and payroll process preference for LATAM or Canada countries and ensure consistency in the way the process is delivered in the region. This role should also ensure that there is clear alignment within GHRO (GSC & RSC), LCA, COE\u2019s and local HR\u2019s to avoid any deviation in the way the service is delivered. Compliance with legal country payroll will be an important success measure for this role, and use of metrics and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas. To be successful in this role, the individual in this position will need to possess high customer service mindset to be able to deliver high quality of operations service, effective communication skills, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, a high level of attention to detail, passionate about continuous improvement approach, and to model the Microsoft values and behaviors. # Responsibilities \u2022 Responsibility for benefits and payroll operations in the region. \u2022 Partnering with the functional operation for implementation of the processes in the region. \u2022 Ability to understand Benefits and Payroll policy and processes and ensure that 100% policy and process are adhered. \u2022 Ability to interpret policies and make decisions working with COE teams on the scenarios which is raised as an exception to policy. \u2022 Responsible for ensuring that countries in the region are compliant with laws and practices. \u2022 Responsible for ensuring all related audits are conducted at the appropriate time as defined by the local law. \u2022 To manage and engage benefits and payroll service partners who support processes for Microsoft in the region. \u2022 Prepare dashboard and scorecard to effectively measure service partner performance. \u2022 Ensures process and operating procedure documentation is effective and in place at all times and operate business continuity and disaster recovery plans are established and maintained \u2022 Continuously identify areas of process improvement and future investment to drive efficiency and improved employee experience (e.g. more relevant self-service content, streamlined processes, etc.) to implement changes and enhancements as appropriate \u2022 Act as a point of issue escalation and work with functional operation and relevant process players to arrive at a resolution. \u2022 Ensure HR Data integrity and compliance through accurate management of records. \u2022 Ensure knowledge management of HR processes through proper documentation of processes and policies in the region. \u2022 Responsible for driving standardization and continuous improvement in area of responsibility. \u2022 Accountable for Data Privacy and security \u2022 Continuously strive to gain customer satisfaction and minimize complaints on the delivery of HR Operations Services # Qualifications \u2022 HR Operations experience with Benefits across countries. \u2022 Shared services experience will be an added advantage. \u2022 Good knowledge around basic benefits in the region that the candidate will support. \u2022 E2E Hire to Retire process understanding, ability to develop and maintain E2E processes, Desk Top Procedure and Knowledge base. \u2022 Good communication skills \u2013 both written and verbal for English, if possible Portuguese \u2022 Demonstrated vendor management experience with ability to measure and report vendor performance. \u2022 Must have strong planning, coordination and organizational skills \u2022 Possess initiative & drive; with strong desire to continuously improve processes & deliver against agreed objectives\/ service levels.
