About the role
2nd shift role focused on support for machining and stamping operations in Arden Hills Operations. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of taking direction and delivering results with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills and work closely with manufacturing engineers to complete tasks such as new equipment evaluation forms, equipment procedures, CAFs, validation support, etc.
You're Responsibilities will include:
*Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. *Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time *Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues. *Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary. *Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure. *Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures. *Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes. *Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures. *Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians *Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures
What we're looking for:
*AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3+ years of related experience *Proven record of working closely and successfully with manufacturing and process development engineers *Strong mechanical aptitude *Basic understanding of medical device documentation requirements *Great attitude and strong desire to learn new skills *Comfortable reading electrical schematics and part drawings
*Manufacturing background *Medical Device regulation experience *Experience with CNC mills, Swiss-style lathes, and/or Wire EDM equipment
