Superintendent

• Manage the overall effort and effectiveness of all crafts, including, Electrical/Instrumentation

• Provide day-to-day supervision and work assignments to General Foreman and Foreman

• Assure that all craft activities are conducted in accordance with OSHA regulations and Owner Safety Policies.  Conduct and participate in weekly and monthly safety meetings.  Maintain high visibility in the overall safety process

• Coordinate with production representatives, Customer Coordinators, and Engineering to assure continuity in the scheduling and execution of the work

• Assure that proper planning and scheduling of craft work is provided so that the work is accomplished in the most efficient and economical manner

• Assure that the crafts have all materials, tools, information and equipment to support work plans

• Assist in the development and adherence to craft manpower plans; make adjustments to craft supervision, craft manpower levels, and craft composition as plans change

• Provide constructability ideas and promote the constructability process throughout the crafts

• Provide managerial and technical support to enhance the productivity and cost effectiveness of all crafts

• Promote the need for continued excellent quality of workmanship, monitor the status of workmanship and provide appropriate directions, and assure crafts’ adherence to Owner standards and specifications

• Assist in the development of field estimates

• Monitor costs/budgets for capital projects and maintenance work orders

• Provide off duty call-in support and supervision as required

• Provide for the development of subordinates

• Assist in determining training needs within the crafts and in scheduling the needed training activities

• Proven ability to provide for a safe working environment

• Detailed knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques

• Ability to organize teams, recognize problems and develop solutions

• Leadership skills to facilitate harmonious working relationship among Owner and Contractor Staff and workforce

• Working knowledge of capital project and maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, and cost control

• Ability to work overtime hours for extended periods of time to accommodate schedules

Certifications and/or Licenses Required

NCCER - Industrial Electrician, NCCER - Industrial Instrument Technician

Other Position or Site Requirements

Texas journeyman electrician license
