Expertus has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Product Marketing.
The successful candidate will display an exceptional attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines, and a demonstrated track record of launching quality products on time. Past experience working on Internet SaaS products and an understanding of marketing strategies and tactics (online or offline) is preferred. Experience in marketing of learning management systems is a plus, but is not required.
Responsibilities:
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Expertus in the market.
• Plan and execute the launch of new products and releases.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering to influence product roadmap.
• Develop the strategy and manage marketing programs that generate demand for the product.
• Function as a product spokesperson with press and analysts, and present at conferences and webinars.
• Market research, sizing, prioritization, and sequencing.
• Determine pricing and packaging strategies to ensure Expertus offers competitive, revenue-maximizing services.
• Define and track success metrics in coordination with Product and Business stakeholders.
• Accountable for top-line revenue and performance of solutions.
• Write articles, white papers, blogs, and engage in social media.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of product and/or marketing experience with consumer or small business Internet products or services.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, startup work environment.
• Track record of defining and sizing new markets, and creating strategies and financial models to address them.
• Direct experience launching web-based products or services and managing product marketing strategy.
• Strong financial modeling skills to forecast revenue impact of entering new businesses, offering new features, or changing product price/packaging.
• Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization.
• BA/BS or equivalent required, MBA strongly preferred.
