Location:

Duties:

• Build strong defenses for clients charged with crimes or facing criminal charges
• Develop successful case strategies through in-depth investigations and witness interviews
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Negotiate final pleadings and settlements on behalf of clients
• Provide legal advice on a variety of criminal issues
• Stay informed on updates in laws and regulations affecting criminal defense
• Work toward dismissals or reduced charges by negotiating with prosecutors
• Conduct legal research on statutes, crime codes, and case law relevant to client charges
• Maintain a close working relationship with clients to ensure effective representation

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Texas State Bar
• Prior experience in criminal law or related areas is preferred
• Ability to manage cases from start to finish with strong attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Texas Bar License (Required)
