State Income and Franchise - Investment Management Tax Consultant II - Multistate
The candidate will be a valuable member of tax engagements and assist in providing state tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. Will prepare partnership state tax returns and appropriate work papers with attention to multistate tax concepts such as allocation or apportionment, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation. Coordinate with an in-house tax preparation team within the company and review prepared state tax returns on selected engagements. Work directly with and coordinate with clients' tax departments on various tax projects. Prepare and/or review estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings. Research state tax legislation for consulting projects related to tax planning and compliance. Assist with audit defense for state tax notices.
