is looking for a Junior Web Project Manager / Web Project Coordinator
for a major financial client in New York City.
Summary
The Junior Web Project Manager works across the business, IS management, Quality Assurance and Testing, Systems Analyst, Software Development, and Technical Writing teams to ensure the delivery of a high quality software application.
Primary technical point of contact with management and various technical personnel on project from project inception through completion.
Works with the project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure delivery quality and report schedule, cost, and execution performance. Graduate degree preferred.
Will support eBusiness Marketing on their website projects. Experience with websites, web content management, web analytics required.
The role will be required to engage in multiple workstream activity simultaneously and, through excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills, have the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts working both independently and under direction of the eBusiness management team.
Has responsibility for engaging with the business to gather and understand all business requirements relevant to a project.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating, defining, staffing, and managing one or multiple projects.
Develops project schedules, coordinates project status meetings, manages resources in all phases of software development lifecycle.
The role will be the main liaison between the business and the eBusiness team [both onshore and offshore] and play the key role in ensuring that the project is managed and requirements are specified and delivered correctly and in a timely manner
The role will be required to support the development of workarounds, testing phases and implementation; this may include investigation and resolution of issues and use of a sound understanding of project management and an understanding of Insurance Businesses and Underwriting.
Manage web projects for individual and multiple departments, domestic and international.
Manage content for the organizations web presence, domestic and international, through the use of the corporate content management tools.
Coordinate and provide training to content owners.
Provide expertise in the content management system for the global community of content owners.
Ensure brand guidelines are adopted throughout all web properties
Required Skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Demonstrable hands on experience with popular content management systems (SDL-Tridion, Fatwire, Ektron, etc.)
Working knowledge of HTML
