Contracts Manager

The candidate will utilize customer service related experience in order to build relationships with clients, understand client needs, and support business development efforts within the renewable energy (solar, wind and energy storage) markets. Will manage interdisciplinary review and approval process for customer contracts from bid to close-out. Understand how to negotiate favorable payment terms with prime and sub contracts and vendor purchase orders. Thoroughly understand all party's obligations under the contract and ensure that they are being met in the field, financially and program wide. Understand principles of risk management and how they apply to construction contracts. Provide support to project teams in managing claims and disputes including the preparation of payment remedies. Monitor deadlines associated with payment remedies. Maintain a comprehensive record of terms negotiated with customers. Develop, negotiate, and modify contracts with external parties on behalf of company's Renewables Division. Develop and manage contracting processes for company's Renewables Division. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm completeness and accuracy of proposed contract during bid phase, learning and taking into account particular risks inherent in the transaction. Manage Subcontract and large equipment purchase order contracts. Include prime contract flow down provisions and commercial term negotiations. Develop contract highlights & checklist for PM team to manage contracts throughout construction phase. Assist PM Teams in managing contract deliverables throughout construction phase. Negotiate contracts that meet objectives related to safety, delivery performance, schedule, quality, price, terms & conditions, delivery, and contract changes with customers in accordance with company policies and practices.
