Description: This job is for a painter who assist with preparing parts, airframe and hardware for paint and painting. This job requires individuals to be able to degrease, mask, and sand in preparation for painting along with spray application of primers and final coat paint. This is a labor intensive position. Candidate must be able to work under the following physical conditions in order to perform the essential functions of this job; employee is regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle and/or feel. The candidate is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl or twist, work overhead, work from lift or elevated height. The candidate must be able to work under the following environment while performing the duties of this job: Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a respirator and other PPE items as needed to perform job tasks. The candidate must be able to successfully pass a medical evaluation and a respirator physical per OSHA standard 1910.134. Must be able to work any shift and/or weekend as dictated by program schedule requirements. In addition - depending on the workload of this activity, this individual may be required to cross-train and get certified in other areas of the manufacturing floor in order to continually work hardware. This job requires individual to possess a top secret clearance or have the ability to successfully gain a secret clearance with top secret eligibility and Yankee White access.
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Manufacturing Background
• Computer skills
• Good communication, reliable/dependable
• Team player, flexible and able to follow directions
• Ability to obtain a clearance
Applicants selected must be able to successfully pass to a background investigation and drug test.
Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship
Preferably, you should also have these desired skills:
• Autobody experience
• Painting experience
