Corporate Counsel - Labor and Employment
Duties: Advising the business and organization with regard to human resources, labor, employment, benefits and immigration issues in the United States and Canada, but also in other non-European jurisdictions. Ancillary responsibilities will include providing legal support with regard to commercial transactions. Provide practical legal advice to human resources, benefits and company management on a variety of personnel related issues. Report to a Senior Counsel, who reports to the General Counsel, and will work closely and collaboratively with all levels of PACCAR management, up to and including the executive officers. Manage outside counsel in the conduct of all employment related litigation in the United States and Canada under the supervision of the Senior Counsel. Draft, review, revise, and advise on global employment policies, procedures, and practices. Draft, negotiate and advise on various contracts and agreements including employment contracts, commercial agreements, vendor agreements, and supplier and supply chain agreements. Review and advise on all involuntary terminations in the United States and Canada. Provide legal advice and review of company benefits plans, including pension, 401K and health and welfare. Provide legal advise on ERISA claims and appeals. Advise on executive compensation plans. Advise company labor negotiators with respect to collective bargaining issues. Advise company management with respect to labor organizing activity and campaigns. Advise Human Resources on wage and hour, leave, ADA, discrimination and retaliation issues. Advise management and Human Resources on reductions in force. Advise Compliance and Human Resources on high level or complex investigations. Perform high level or executive investigations.
