Compliance/Privacy Advisor
DUTIES: Maintain subject matter expertise on applicable privacy and consumer laws and regulations. Develop and manage strong working relationships with business units. Maintain understanding of business line operating processes, strategies, products, and services. Proactively develop technical acumen and in-depth knowledge of the business. Provide effective challenge and guidance on privacy and compliance risks. Perform Compliance Risk Assessments of business functions, products and services. Draft, update and/or review policies and standards that address compliance requirements. Provide expert regulatory advice, challenge and oversight on compliance matters to business units. Review marketing, advertising content and other consumer communications for adherence to regulatory requirements, company standards and industry best practices. Support compliance assurance activities including independent compliance testing and monitoring activities. Evaluate issues and findings for compliance impacts. Work with business line on action plans designed to address control breakdowns and track timely remediation of regulatory issues. Collaborate with legal, risk and other key groups to assess risk and recommend controls for new products, customers/clients and initiatives. Stay current on the regulatory environment and expectations.
