Description

The Senior Unified Communications Engineer provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company's communications systems. The Senior Unified Communications Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Unified Communications Engineer evaluates company requirements to determine whether an internal or other operating system is more appropriate. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Performs traffic study analysis to determine best configuration of systems. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field experience in lieu of degree

5 or more years of Unified Communications experience

Experience planning, designing, and implementing communications systems

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Cost analysis, and vendor comparison experience

Project management experience

Certifications related to Unified Communications
