Entry-level IP Assistant
The candidate will provide daily assistance and administrative support. Will be responsible for processing daily correspondence (scanning and saving into the document management system as well as the electronic distribution within the firm). Coordinate all outgoing correspondence including preparing labels and delivering urgent packages to the US Post Office or other drop-off locations. Proofread issued U.S. Patents and pre-grant Publications. Prepare Requests for Certificates of Correction. Prepare nucleic acid and amino acid sequence listings. Review U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filings, including Information Disclosure Statements, prior to filing (and, for certain filings, after submission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office). Maintain docket for proofreading actions and for Information Disclosure Statement pre- and post-filing review. Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents that may be time sensitive. Assist the Practice Systems and Office Services groups in other tasks as required. Training in the area of patent law is provided.
