Aon is looking for a Retirement Specialist II As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our Wealth Solutions practice business group with a preference for this role to be worked in Irvine, CA. Your impact as a Retirement Specialist II Job Responsibilities:Review defined benefit plan benefit calculations for accuracyTrack and follow up on pending benefit calculation reviews with project managerDraft initial documentation for completed benefit calculation reviewsCoordinate with the project manager to determine appropriate invoicing / project feesComplete benefit calculation review assignments on timeEnsure file and project naming conventions are used Consistent use of benefit calculation review tools and procedures Ensure each benefit calculation review and project is accurately tracked to the appropriate plan sponsor and defined benefit planFollow up with colleagues as needed to meet project deadlines and requirementsHandle client specific issues that may arise (such as expedited requests, additional or special information on specific reviews, etc.) You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience:2 years’ of work experience in benefit calculation reviews for defined benefit plansAbility to accurately and efficiently complete benefit calculation reviews for defined benefit plans Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, intermediate functions)Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to partner and collaborate with colleagues Appreciation of Actuaries and the humor they may deploy from time to timeStrong team player, willing to own responsibilities and take initiative Preferred Experience:Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Education:Bachelor’s degree or 3 years equivalent industry experience.
