Duties: Assist with compliance with applicable energy laws, rules, and regulations. Assist with corporate governance and inter-company transactions among a large number of affiliated entities in North America, Europe, and South America. Analyze and advise regarding specific legal and/or regulatory issues as they arise. Participate in the capitalization activities of Modern and its subsidiaries, including a variety of debt and equity financings. Participate in the development and maintenance of corporate policies, procedures, and programs. Participate in a variety of transactions, including joint ventures, minority equity investments, and mergers and acquisitions. Review, draft and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements (vendor, employment, procurement). Play a lead role in our advocacy efforts to push regulations towards cleaner energy.
