Profile

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides mandatory training to all Casino employees as required under the Tribal-State Compact regulations such as: Title 31, SARC, TIPS, Cash Handling, Sexual Harassment, Supervisory Training, Progressive Discipline, Employee Orientation Program, CPR/First Aid, and Guest Services.
  2. Assists the Training Manager in developing, planning, and implementation of new training programs.
  3. Utilizes a variety of teaching techniques such as direct instruction, role playing, simulation, team exercise, group discussion, video or hands-on exercises.
  4. Develops training manuals, training procedures, and training course materials.
  5. Reviews evaluation forms of each training program for areas of improvement.
  6. Reviews curriculum content and materials, recommending revisions as needed.
  7. Remains current on training trends and techniques.
  8. Administers mandatory exams and records results.
  9. Maintains accurate training records.
  10. Ensures compliance by auditing training records regularly.
  11. Maintains personal training certifications as required.
  12. Conducts research on training programs prior to implementation or purchasing.
  13. Collaborates with various casino department managers to develop and implement department specific training.
  14. Administers and evaluates department specific testing.
  15. Develops key metrics to measure training effectiveness.
  16. Assists Training Specialist I as needed.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required. Five years training experience required. Large scale training experience preferred. Gaming experience preferred. Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Must be able to obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. The Emerald Queen is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
