We are seeking a full time Operations Supervisor to join our team.\r\r Responsibilities include:\r\rSupervise Master Control Operators and Newscast Directors\rInsure the overall technical and operational success of the station's programming\rWork with the News, Traffic, Programming, and Sales departments to resolve any issues that might affect Master Control Operations and Newscasts\rScheduling Master Control Operator and Directing shifts to ensure coverage\rVerify that all content is available and ready to air, maintain required logs, and uphold station standards and FCC compliance by monitoring the station’s technical performance\rThe Operations Supervisor is also responsible for the technical competence of the Master Control Operators and will be expected to facilitate ongoing training in order to maintain high standards\rTraining and Competence of Newscast Directors using Grass Valley Ignite system\rAssisting Engineering and Operations Manager on operations and maintenance of WTOV9 production truck for local televised events.\rWorking with Operations Manager on special projects for the TV station.\rWorking Master Control and Directing shifts as needed.\rOther responsibilities as assigned\r\r
Requirements include: \r\r\rExperience in television master control operations and newscast directing including air switching live programs\rYou must also have experience with computer automation systems, television satellite systems, VTRs, server based ingest and playback systems, Microsoft office products, and file based ingest and playback servers\rDependable and detail oriented\rCommunicate effectively and work well with others\rBe able to follow instructions with minimal supervision\rKnowledge of computers and an aptitude for operating electronic equipment is preferred\rThis salaried position requires 24 hour on-call status and various operating shifts including weekends and holidays\r\r\r\rSinclair Broadcast Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace!
