Duties

  • Manage family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and property division.
  • Represent clients in court, making required appearances.
  • Conduct legal research; draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide timely legal advice and case updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, attorneys, and administrative staff to handle cases efficiently.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients in mediation and settlement conferences.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure trust and support.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and developments in family law.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of family law experience.
  • Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing.
  • Proven writing skills (writing samples required).
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated client-focused mindset and professional references.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar license in the State of Washington.

  • Proficient in handling family law cases (divorce, custody, property division).
  • Strong negotiation and mediation abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-pressure deadlines.
  • Professional communication with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
